Actresses come and go, but only a few remain. 2010 was no different in this respect. Here’s a look at some of the actresses who gripped our attention…

Any Best Actress list would be incomplete without Kajol. Her flawless acting and amazing dynamics with Shah Rukh Khan in My Name Is Khan left the audience wanting for more.

Raavan may not have been a hit, but Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s performance in the film was much appreciated. Later, it was Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish that gave Ash the much-needed acclaim. Not only did the former Miss World look stunning, but she delivered a heart-felt performance too.

A Bollywood beauty who has done it all is the versatile Kareena Kapoor. Swinging back from the ‘average’ We Are Family, Kareena delivered a fun-tastic performance as Daboo in the multi-starrer Golmaal 3.

Katrina Kaif floored the critics with her performance in Prakash Jha’s Raajneeti. Though her trump card is still her beauty, you could see her hard work in the movie, specially with the lengthy Hindi dialogues. Katrina has finally arrived on the Best Actress list!

Deepika Padukone has proved that she is the perfect ‘girl-next-door’. So when it came to Bollywood flicks like Kartik Calling Kartik, Housfull and Break ke Baad, Deepika got her act perfected. She plays the challenging role of the feisty Kalpana Dutta in the recently released Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se, but it is yet to be seen if she can break out from the mould.

Priyanka Chopra did it again with her performance in Anjaana Anjaani. Even though the script wasn’t great, and it was no Fashion, Priyanka still delivered!

No one else could have pulled off Sonam Kapoor’s character in Aisha. The fashionista that she is, Sonam gave the impression that we had stepped into her world. But before that little pet project came around, Sonam had a hit in her kitty already in the form of I Hate Luv Stories.

play a femme fatale? She shed her good girl stereotype with Ishqiya, earlier this year. And she did carry off the character of the mysterious and seductive Krishna Verma well.

Sonakshi Sinha got really lucky! But what else is expected when you have Shatrughan Sinha as your father and Salman Khan as your godfather? The actress delivered a megahit that is Dabangg.

2010′s Bollywood graph charted some of the most hyped and expensive films failing to make a dent at the box office. The films we think Bollywood could have done without this year are…

Big names like Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and southern superstar Vikram couldn’t save Mani Ratnam’s Raavan from tanking at the box office. Not just that, it was heavily panned by critics too.

Salman Khan tried to make history with period piece Veer and in a way he did just that. Veer went down in the annals as one of the worst films ever made in the history of Bollywood .

Thespian Ben Kingsley added his histrionic talent to the all star line up in Teen Patti – Amitabh Bachchan, Madhavan and Raima Sen. Even so, the movie failed to ace the box office.

Priyanka Chopra’s and Uday Chopra’s Pyaar Impossible came and went without leaving the slightest trace that it had ever existed.

Chance Pe Dance starred Shahid Kapoor as a struggling actor. Sadly for the movie, it’s box office dream remained just that a dram.

Megaflop Prince bolstered Vivek Oberoi’s reputation as leader of the failure pack.

Crushes and Heartaches
Vivek Oberoi has been on cloud nine ever since he got engaged to Priyanka Alva, a family friend from Bangalore. Vivek likes to call his match arranged-cum-love-zyaada and doesnt shy in admitting that he fell in love with Priyanka in just 10 minutes of meeting her.
Now that hes getting married to Priyanka, we hark back at Viveks long journey to true love.
We look at his special relationship with Aishwarya Rai, who is now a happily married lady. Before Vivek hooked up with Ash, he had a long and steady relationship with a Punjabi girl named Gurpreet Gill. He even got engaged to her. But the engagement was later broken by him only.
Heres a rewind into Viveks love life. Some of it was for real, some rumoured. Hold your heartbeat and proceed…

Gurpreet Gill
If things had turned out differently, Vivek Oberoi might have been a married man and even father of grown up kids by now. Years ago, the actor got engaged to Gurpreet Gill but the betrothal could not culminate into a marriage.

Aishwarya Rai
Viveks relationship with Ash has been much written about. After she ended a troubled relationship with Salman Khan, Ash found a friend and lover in Vivek Oberoi. The duo also worked together in the movie Kyun Ho Gaya Na. However, the relationship did not last long. It was Ash who pulled the plug.

Jacqueline Fernandez (Rumoured)
For a short while, Vivek was also linked with Miss Sri Lanka Jacqueline Fernandez. He first met her in 2007 but kept in touch throughout the years. Sadly, nothing romantic really fructified between the two. Above, the two are seen sharing a few drinks.

Vidya Balan (Rumoured)
In April last year, rumours appeared that Vivek was seeing actress Vidya Balan. Of course, today we know that nothing romantic happened between the two, but it was claimed back then that the two struck friendship at designer and common friend Sabina Khans house.

Priyanka Alva (For Real)
Finally, the man has found the woman he wants to marry. Shes Priyanka Alva, son of a Karnataka politician and a danseuse mother.
Vivek weds Priyanka on October 29 in Bangalore. It’s going to be a lavish but private affair, followed by a wedding reception in Mumbai on October 31.
We wish them a happy, love-filled life.
